Inside Our New Home
We've been telling you about everything we've been doing to turn Mystic Journey into our own home. We thought you might like to see what the inside of our home is like now. A few more personal touches and it should be great.
I am a retired nurse who was born and raised on the prairies in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. I have two children, Leila and Scott and one son-in-law Ryan. Since meeting Griff in 2004 my life has been a whirlwind of travel, country living and new relationships with 4 children, 7 grandchildren and a dog (Katie). One of my dreams in the past was to sail around the Greek islands. The Greek islands were visited in September 2007 (no sailing). Now I can't believe that I am going to be sailing around the world.
I am a retired Psychologist/Network Technician/Electronics & Computer Technician born in Ontario. After travelling in the military for 20 years, in 1984 I retired in Penhold, Alberta, where I worked as a Network Technician for 7 years before attending the University of Calgary to eventually become a forensic psychologist. I am more than blessed with 4 wonderful children, Anne Marie, Julie, Rob and Jason (oldest to youngest), and with 2 sons-in-law, Shane and Graham. Along with them I have 7 grandchildren I love dearly and now, with my marriage to my soul-mate Cheryl I am gratefully building relationships with Cheryl's 2 children and her son-in-law. When people hear of what we are doing they often ask if this has been a life-long dream and the answer is a resounding NO. If, however, someone had asked me long ago and far way if I thought I would ever have all that I have now - my marriage, my children and grandchildren, the education that enabled me to become a psychologist, becoming a forensic psychologist, finding my soul-mate, having our acreage as a dream home to come back to and lastly owning a boat on which we will hopefully have many adventures (all in warm climates!!!), the answer then would have been a resounding NO! I am truly blessed!
